Dolf Breetvelt 1892-1975. Dutch modernist painter. Worked and lived in Indonesia as an Art- teacher and painter. In Indonesia he followed the new European avant-gardist art movement closely. After his return in The netherlands he started to paint abstract. He is considered one of the leading modern painters, as well in Indonesia as in homeland.
