Jo Koster (1868-1944) Dutch, well known painter. Studied at the Art academies of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Brussels and Paris. She traveled extensively abroad amongst other countries to Italy, to visit Positano and San Gimignano. In 1902 she moved to Zwolle, The Netherlands. From there she visited the small villages nearby to paint and draw the locals and their (now) historical costumes. Her work is to be found in Museum Kröller Müller, The Rijksmuseum and the Voerman Museum in Hattem.
