Zoltán Forrai was a Hungarian artist well known for his work in the Netherlands. After completion of his studies he contributed to overseas magazines such as Die Lustige Blätter, Le Rire en Simplicissimus. He established himself in the Netherlands in 1939 and obtained citiszenship at a later stage. During the war he created "The Adventures of Pipa". This was published in various countries, and a complilation wa later published in the photomagazine Focus. The regional newspaper Dagblad van Oost-Brabant published his cartoon strips 'De Lotgevallen van Miklós', about an Hungarian boy and also 'De Avonturen van Sta-op en Schud-op', both in 1948.
